Typically when we provide installation and project services, we also provide the required equipment and installation materials. This allows us to provide the best finished project as we own all pieces to the puzzle. From initial equipment specification to closeouts, we can do it all. Occasionally though an end user will procure their own equipment, want to relocate/re-purpose an existing system, or receive a replacement system for warranty purposes and need it installed. In those situations, we can still help!
On this little project in Grapevine, TX the end user purchased this MGE UPS on their own. Unfortunately, to their surprise the replacement system required a much larger input breaker, and larger wire. This resulted in our team retrofitting the existing input panel to accept a larger breaker, demoing out a BBM safety switch, and reworking all required conduit.
Needless to say, the end result was a successful project, and the customer is now back on UPS-power.
